Your Source for Rebates and Incentives: Recharge Colorado

The Governor’s Energy Office (GEO) has collected the most comprehensive resource of energy-related rebates and incentives available anywhere. Homebuyers and homebuilders alike are encouraged to use the Recharge Colorado Energy Action Planner to find rebate programs, federal and local incentives, offers from manufacturers and retailers, and qualified contractors. The site also offers an Energy Savings Guide with a wide range of tips and strategies aimed at reducing utility bills.

ENERGY STAR Mortgage for Homebuyers – Save up to $5,000!

The Colorado ENERGY STAR Mortgage provides a loan benefit to Colorado resident homebuyers through 1 discount point in the form of an interest rate buy-down. To qualify for this program, a homebuyer must purchase a home that has earned the ENERGY STAR qualified New Home label and use a participating lender listed below.

Loan details and amounts will be assessed by the participating lender directly. The maximum benefit issued will be based on no more than a $500,000 loan amount, which equates to a $5,000 benefit ($500,000 X 1%); up to $2,500 of which will be reimbursed by the GEO. Colorado resident homebuyers cannot utilize both the GEO funded mortgage benefit and other GEO funded rebates that result in the same improvement measures.

A complete overview of the ENERGY STAR Mortgage program for homebuyers is provided in the Energy Action Planner, including program rules, regulations and requirements. Act quickly; mortgage benefits are only available on a first-come, first serve basis.
